This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee
on Leather Industry Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 252).

Introduction
Traveling cases and bags are essential supplies for traveling. As one of the
main components of luggage, pull rod’s quality has great impact on service life
of cases and bags. Since there is no uniform inspection method for pull rod in
China for a long time, this Standard is formulated to meet the needs of
production and market, and effectively monitor the product quality.

Test method for resistance to fatigue of pull rod
1 Scope
This Standard specifies a test method for resistance to fatigue of pull rod of
traveling cases and bags.
This Standard is applicable to pull rods of various traveling cases and bags.
2 Principle
Under certain pulling and pressing frequency, inspect pull rod’s reciprocating
fatigue properties, pull rod’s structure fastness and switch’s durability, by
continuously switching, pulling back and forth, and pressing pull rod lock and
pull rod.
3 Device
3.1 Pull rod reciprocating fatigue testing machine
The pull rod reciprocating fatigue testing machine shall contain the parts
stipulated in 3.1.1~3.1.8.
3.1.1 Sample fixing holder of which the size is adjustable.
3.1.2 Pull rod clamp holder.
3.1.3 Pull rod movement device of which the reciprocating movement is
allowed, movement speed and stroke are adjustable.
3.1.4 Support frame of which the height is not less than 1500 m, equipped
with pull and pressure stroke guide.
3.1.5 Pull rod switch device.
3.1.6 Counter for recording movement times.
3.1.7 Force-value recording device for recording the force-value required by
pull rod during the process of pulling and pressing.
