6 Test Methods
6.1 Precision
Unless otherwise specified, the following measuring precision shall be adopted.
6.2 Main dimensions
6.2.1 Determination of Point A
Put a 64 kg-load module (see Appendix A) on the seat with center line as symmetry
plane, ensuring that the center of guiding axle of the main weight is consistent with the
center of the seat's rotation axle. Before the test, the seat shall be loaded before being
unloaded, repeat 5 times.
6.2.3 Seat height
As shown in Figure 8, put the seat on a flat and hard plate, determine Point A with a
64 kg-load module (see Appendix A), measure the distance from Point A to the plate
H1 (see Figure 8).
6.2.4 Lift travel
Measure the highest seat height and the lowest seat height in accordance with 6.2.3,
and calculate the difference.
6.2.5 Other main dimensions
Other main dimensions shall be determined according to the requirements of 5.1 in
GB/T 3325-2008.
6.3 Shape and position tolerances
6.3.1 Back eccentricity
Rotate the test piece to where it is easiest to overturn, measure the horizontal
distance e between the connecting line of support points at the outermost side of the
base and vertical lead of the force bearing point, d, at the top of the back.
6.3.2 Shape symmetry
Measure the distance between two diagonals of the symmetry plane (component),
then measure the distance between support points of support castor for the base, and
the difference between them is the shape symmetry.
6.4 Appearance
6.4.1 Decoloration
Inspect 3 positions on the product's external finished parts or plastic parts, wipe each
position with white soft damp cloth or white degreased gauze properly for 3 times for a
distance of 200 mm ~300 mm. Observe if the soft damp cloth or white degreased
gauze has the color of the finished parts.
6.5 Physical and chemical properties
6.5.1 Flexible polyurethane foam
6.5.2 Color fastness to dry friction of textile fabric
It shall be tested according to the requirements of GB/T 3920.
6.5.3 Metal parts coating
6.5.3.1 Resistance to salt spray
It shall be tested according to the requirements of QB/T 3826.
6.5.3.2 Adhesive force
It shall be tested according to the requirements of GB/T 9286.
6.5.4 Resistance to salt spray of galvanized coating
It shall be tested according to the requirements of QB/T 3826.
6.6 Mechanical property
6.6.1 Stability
It shall be tested according to the requirements of GB/T 10357.2.
6.6.3 Static load on seat and back
6.6.3.1 Static load on seat

6.6.3.2 Static load on back
It shall be tested according to the requirements of 4.3.2 in GB 10357.3-2013.
6.6.6 Reciprocating abrasion on castor
Connect the chair and the circulating equipment together.
Put the chair on a hard and smooth surface with 3 obstacles (see Figure 14), as
shown in Figure 15.
6.6.7 Static load on base
As shown in Figure 17, put inside steel block or other similar supporting objects
instead of roller / sliding feet (roller / sliding toe pool may be kept). The axis of roller /
sliding feet provides support. The height of the steel block or supporting object shall
be enough for the central axis or chair leg not to touch the test bed in the test process.
Remove the support device and height adjusting device on the base. Directly load on
the support bar in a vertical way, or apply load vertically by conical test device or the
test device similar to base interface.
6.10 Safety
6.10.1 Basic safety
The steel plate thickness shall be measured by straight steel ruler or tape with division
value of 1mm.
