1 Scope
This Document specifies the terms and definitions, classification and code, size, shape, weight,
technical requirements, inspection and testing, packaging, marking and inspection documents
of cold-rolled carbon structural steel sheet and strip.
This Document applies to cold-rolled carbon structural steel sheet and strip (hereinafter referred
to as steel sheet and strip) with a thickness of 0.50mm ~ 3.5mm produced by Baoshan Iron &
Steel Co., Ltd.
2 Normative References
The provisions in following documents become the essential provisions of this Document
through reference in this Document. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates
indicated are applicable to this Document; for the undated documents, only the latest version
(including all the amendments) is applicable to this Document.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this Document, there are no terms and definitions apply.
4 Classification and Code
4.1 The classification of steel sheet and strip according to the use shall comply with the
provisions of Table 1.

4.3 The classification of steel sheet and strip according to the surface structure shall comply
with the provisions of Table 3.
5 Information Required for Ordering
5.1 When ordering, the user shall provide the following information.
5.2 If the size, roughness accuracy, surface quality level, edge state and packaging method are
not specified in the ordering contract, this Standard product shall be supplied as trimmed steel
sheet or strip with ordinary size, roughness accuracy and Level-FB surface quality; and shall
be packaged in the packaging method provided by the supplier.
6 Dimensions, Shape, Weight and Allowable Deviations
The dimension, shape, weight and allowable deviations of steel sheet and strip shall comply
with the provisions of Q/BQB 401.
7 Technical Requirements
7.1 Chemical composition
7.1.1The chemical composition (melting analysis) of steel shall comply with the provisions of
Table 4.
7.2 Smelting method
The steel used for steel sheet and strip is smelted in an oxygen converter.
7.3 Delivery status
7.3.1 Steel sheet and strip are delivered after annealing and leveling after cold rolling.
7.4 Mechanical properties
7.4.1 The supplier guarantees that within 6 months from the date of completion of
manufacturing, the mechanical properties of steel sheet and strip shall comply with the

provisions of Tables 5 and 6, respectively. If the purchaser has special requirements for
mechanical properties, they shall be negotiated when placing an order.
7.5 Surface quality
7.5.1 The surface of steel sheet and strip shall not have holes, surface cracks, laminations and
other defects that are harmful to use.
7.5.2 The characteristics of each surface quality level of steel sheet and strip shall comply with
the provisions of Table 8.
7.6 Surface structure
When the surface structure is pitted (D), the average roughness Ra is controlled by
0.6μm< Ra≤1.9μm. If the purchaser has special requirements for roughness, it shall be
negotiated when ordering.
8 Inspection and Testing
8.1 The appearance of steel sheet and strip shall be inspected with the naked eye.
8.2 The size and shape of steel sheet and strip shall be measured with appropriate measuring
tools.
8.3 The tensile test shall be in accordance with Method-B of GB/T 228.1-2021.In order to
improve the reproducibility of the measurement results, it is recommended to use the beam
displacement rate control method.
8.4 Steel sheet and strip shall be inspected and accepted in batches. Each inspection batch shall
consist of steel sheet and strip of the same designation, specification and processing state of no
more than 30 tons. For steel strips weighing more than 30 tons, each steel coil shall constitute
an inspection batch.
8.5 The inspection items, number of specimens, sampling methods and test methods of each
batch of steel sheets and strips shall comply with the provisions of Table 9.
8.7 Reinspection
For tensile test, if a test result does not meet the requirements of this Standard, double the
number of specimens from the same batch shall be randomly selected for reinspecting the
unqualified item.
9 Packaging, Marking and Inspection Documents
The packaging, marking and inspection documents of steel sheet and strip shall comply with
the provisions of Q/BQB 400.If the purchaser has special requirements for packaging, it shall
be stated in the contract.
10 Rounding-off Rules for Numerical Values
Numerical values are determined by the rounding value comparison method, and numerical
rounding shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 8170.
11 Similar Comparison of Designations
The comparison list of similar designations between this Document And relevant domestic/
foreign standards is shown in Appendix A.

1 Scope

4 Classification and Code
4.1 The classification of steel sheet and strip according to the use shall comply with the
provisions of Table 1.

5 Information Required for Ordering
5.1 When ordering, the user shall provide the following information.
5.2 If the size, roughness accuracy, surface quality level, edge state and packaging method are
