Foreword
GB/T 9112~9124-2010 "Steel Pipe Flanges" series standards are modified in relation to ASME
B 16.5 - 2009 "Pipe Flanges and Flanged Fittings (NPS Yi~NPS 24" and EN 1092-1 .2007 "Flanges
and Their Joints--Circular Flanges for Pipes, Valves, Fittings and Accessories, PN Designated-Part
1. Steel Flanges". ASMI B16 .5-2009 is a complete standard of Class-designated flanges , and EN
1092-1 .2007 is a complete standard of PN-designated flanges. This series of standard comprehensively
adopts above-mentioned two standards, including relevant technical content of Class-designated and
PN- designated flanges . This series of standard covers 13 standards in total , and this standard is the
one thereof.
Main difference of this standard with ASME B16.5-2009 and EN 1092-1.2007 is as follows.
--Preparation format of this standard differs from that of ASME B 16.5-2009 and EN 1092-1-
2007;
--ASME B 16.5 - 2009 covers the flange data with nominal pressure Class 400, but this series
of standard does not bring the flange data of Class 400 into;
--ASME 816.5-2009 covers the flange data with nominal dimension NPS 3Yi, but this series
of standard does not cover the flange data of NPS 3 Yi;
--ASME B 16.5-2009 covers flanges and flanged fittings, but this series of standard excludes
flanged fittings;
- -ASME B 16.5-2009 adopts inch bolt and the bolt hole diameter also adopts inch dimension,
but this series of standard changes to metric bolt and the screwed hole diameter also adopts metric
dimension;
--According to the service requirements of China users, the nominal dimension scope of PN-
designated flanges in this series of standard is extended properly based on EN 1092-1 .2007, including
adding two nominal dimensions as DN20 and DN32 for those with nominal pressure scope PN160~
PN400;
--EN 1092-1 .2007 excludes ring joint face flanges; according to the service requirements of
China users, PN-designated ring joint face flanges are added into this series of standard;
--EN 1092-1 .2007 excludes DNl 75 and DN225 nominal dimensions; according to the service
requirements of China marine flange users , this series of standard only adds DNl 75 and DN nominal
dimensions of marine flanges for PN-designated flanges;
--This series of standard adopts China standard flange materials; the pressure-temperature rating
value may make reference to ASME B 16.5-2009 and EN 1092-1-2007, in addition, flange materials
and flange pressure-temperature rating value mentioned in ASME B16.5-2009 are informative for
reference.
This standard replaces GB/T 9115 .1-2000 "Steel Pipe Welding Neck Flanges with Flat Face or
Raised Face", GB/T 9115 .2-2000 "Steel Pipe Welding Neck Flanges with Male and Female Face",
GB/T 9115.3-2000 "Steel Pipe Welding Neck Flanges with Tongue and Groove Face", GB/T 9115.4
-2000 "Steel Pipe Welding Neck Flanges with Ring-joint Face" and GB/T 10746-1989 "Marine
Steel Pipe Flanges, Butt Weld-on"; the main changes from the original standard are as follows.
--The original 4 steel pipe welding neck flange standards and GB/T 10746-1989 are combined
as one standard;
--According to EN 1092-1 .2007, the nominal dimension scope of PN-designated flanges is
enlarged to DN10~DN4000 from the original DN10~DN3000;
--According to EN 1092-1 .2007, the nominal pressure scope of PN-designated flanges is
enlarged to PN2 .5~PN400 from the original PN2.5~PN160 ;
--According to EN 1092-1 .2007, PN-designated flanges add 0-ring sealing face type;
--According to EN 1992-1 .2007, the dimension data of PN-designated flanges are modified
overall;
--According to ASME Bl6.5-2009, the dimension data of Class-designated flanges are
modified overall ;
--According to the service requirements of the users, PN-designated flanges add ring joint
face type (RJ);
--PN-designated flanges only add DNl 75 and DN225 nominal dimensions of marine flanges;
--Add application scope tables of various sealing face types;
--Revise the designation;
--According to ASME B16.5-2009, the nominal pressure designation of flanges belonging to
American system in the original standard is modified; PN20 is changed to Class 150, PNSO to Class
300, PNllO to Class 600, PN150 to Class 900, PN260 to Class 1500, and PN420 to Class 2500.

Steel Pipe Welding Neck Flanges
1 Scope
This standard specifies types, dimensions, technical requirements and designation of steel pipe
welding neck flanges in PN and Class designations for nominal pressure.
This standard is applicable to steel pipe welding neck flanges with nominal pressure PN2.5-
PN400 and Class 150-Class 2500.

3 Types and Dimensions
3.1 Types and dimensions of PN-designated steel pipe welding neck flanges
3.1.1 Sealing face types, applicable nominal pressure and nominal dimension scope of PN-designated
steel pipe welding neck flanges shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 1.
