Foreword
The series standards "Steel Pipe Flanges" GB/T 9112-9124-2010 are modified in relation to
"Pipe Flanges and Flanged Fittings (NPS Yz-NPS 24)" ASME B16.5-2009 and "Flanges and Their
Joints-Circular Flanges for Pipes, Valves, Fittings and Accessories, PN Designated-Part 1 Steel
Flanges" EN 1092-1 .2007. ASME B 16.5-2009 is a complete standard about Class-designated flanges,
and EN 1092-1 .2007 is a complete standard about PN-designated flanges. This series of standards
comprehensively adopt these two standards, including the relevant technical contents of Class-designated
flanges and PN-designated flanges. This series of standards have 13 standards in total, and this standard
is one of the standards.
Compared with ASME B16.5-2009 and EN 1092-1.2007, the main changes in this standard are
as follows.
--The format of this standard is different from that of ASME B16.5-2009 and EN 1092-1.
2007;
--ASME B 16.5-2009 covers the data of Class 400 (nominal pressure) flanges, but this standard
does not;
--ASME B 16.5-2009 covers the data ofNPS 31;2 (nominal pressure) flanges, but this standard
does not;
--ASME B16.5-2009 covers flanges and flanged fittings, but this series of standards do not
cover flanged fittings;
--According to the use requirements of Chinese users, the nominal dimension scope of PN-
designated flanges in this standard is properly extended on the basis of EN 1092-1 .2007, and two
nominal dimensions (DN 20 and DN 32) within the nominal pressure scope of PN 160-PN 400 are
added
--EN 1092-1 .2007 doesn't cover ring joint face flange, according to the use requirements of
Chinese users, PN-designated ring joint face flanges are added in this series of standards.
--EN 1092-1.2007 doesn't cover the nominal dimensions DN 175 and DN 225, according to
the use requirements of Chinese marine flange users, DN 175 and DN 225 PN, which are only used
for marine flanges, are added in this series of standards for PN-designated flanges.
This standard replaces "Types and Parameters for Steel Pipe Flanges" GB/T 9112-2000 and
"Marine Pipe Flanges; Types" GB/T 107 45-1989. Compared with the former standards, this standard
has the following main changes.
--GB/T 9112-2000 and GB/T 10745-1989 are integrated into one standard;
--According to EN 1092-1.2007, the nominal dimension scope of PN-designated flanges is
extended from DN 10-DN 3000 to DN 10- DN 4000;
--According to EN 1092-1 .2007, the nominal dimension scope of PN-designated flanges is
extended from DN 2.5-DN 160 to DN 2.5-DN 400;
--According to EN 1092-1.2007, the 0-ring sealing face type is added for PN-designated
flanges;
--According to the actual use requirements of Chinese users, ring-joint face (RJ) is added for
PN-designated flanges;
--According to EN 1092-1 .2007, flange types are added;
--Two nominal dimensions (DN 175 and DN 225) which are only used for marine flanges are
added for PN-designated flanges ;
--Normative references are added;
--According to EN 1092-1.2007 and ASME B16.5-2009, the outside diameters of steel pipes
are supplemented and revised;
--According to ASME B 16.5-2009, the nominal pressure designations of flanges within the
American System in the former standards are modified; for example, PN 20, PN 50, PN 110, PN 150,
PN 260 and PN 420 are changed into Class 150, Class 300, Class 600, Class 900, Class 1500 and
Class 2500 respectively.

Introduction
Since its issuance and implementation in 1988, through continuous modification and perfection,
"Steel Pipe Flanges" GB/T 9112~9124 plays an important guiding role in the design, manufacture,
installation and operation of pipeline engineering in China. With the continuous improvement of
technology, the revision and perfection of foreign standards, as well as the requirements for integrating and
revising the marine and universal flange standards, it is necessary to revise the series standards "Steel
Pipe Flanges" GB/T 9112~9124-2000 and the series standards "Marine Steel Pipe Flanges" GB/T
2504-1989, GB/T 2506-2005 GB/T 2508-1989, GB/T 10745-1989 and GB/T 10746-1989.
This series of standards are modified in relation to "Pipe Flanges and Flanged Fittings (NPS 1/r
NPS24)" AS1\1E B16.5-2009 and "Flanges and Their Joints-Circular Flanges for Pipes, Valves, Fittings
and Accessories, PN Designated-Part 1 Steel Flanges" EN 1092-1 .2007, including the following 13
