1 Scope
This standard specifies the dimensions, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for high-quality carbon structural steel hot-rolled steel plates and strips.

4 size, shape, weight
The size, shape, weight and allowable deviation of steel plates and strips are to comply with the requirements of GB/T 709.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Grades and Chemical Composition
5.1.1 Steel grades and chemical composition (melting components) shall comply with the requirements of Table 1.

5.1.2 Residual elements in steel Chromium, nickel, copper content Suppliers may not perform analysis if they can guarantee compliance.

5.1.4 The allowable deviation of chemical composition of finished steel plates and strips shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 222.
5.2 Smelting method
Steel is smelted by an oxygen converter or an electric furnace.
5.3 Delivery status
5.3.1 The steel strip and the shear steel plate are delivered in the hot rolled state. The delivery status of the single-rolled steel plate shall meet the requirements in Table 2.
5.3.2 Strips are usually delivered without trimming. The steel plate shall be delivered by trimming, agreed upon by the supplier and the buyer, and specified in the contract, or may not be trimmed.

5.5 Process Performance
The cold bending test of 08~35 steel shall meet the requirements in Table 5. If the supplier can guarantee the qualification, it may not be tested.

5.6 Decarburization layer
After negotiations between supply and demand sides, 35 steel and steel plates and strips with higher carbon content can be tested for decarburization. The total delamination depth should not be greater than
2% of the actual thickness of the steel plate and strip.
5.7 Ultrasonic testing
After negotiation between supply and demand sides, the steel plate can be ultrasonically tested according to GB/T 2970. The testing standards and qualification levels should be specified in the contract.
5.8 Ribbon organization
After negotiation between supply and demand sides, when the thickness of the steel strip and sheared steel plate is not more than 3mm, the 15th and 20th grades can be used for strip-shaped tissue inspection.

5.9 Grain size
After negotiations between the supplier and the buyer, when the thickness of the steel strip and the shear steel plate is not more than 3mm, the grain grades of the 08, 08Al, 10, 15, and 20 grades can be checked.

5.10 Surface quality
5.10.1 There shall be no visually visible stratification of steel plates and strips, and there shall be no cracks, bubbles, folds, inclusions, knots, and indentations on the surface of steel plates and strips.

5.10.2 Steel sheets and strips must not have thin oxide scales or rust that interfere with the inspection of surface defects and the degree of roughness is not greater than that of steel sheets and strips.
