Inspection and test specifications of large-scale
amusement device - Acceleration test
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the general principles, safety and environmental
requirements, personnel requirements, instrument and equipment
requirements, test and evaluation, and test documents for the acceleration test
of large-scale amusement device.
This Standard applies to the acceleration test in the inspection and test of large-
scale amusement device.
2 Normative references
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
For dated references, only the dated version applies to this document. For
undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this
document.
GB 8408, Large-scale amusement device safety code
GB/T 20050, Inspection and testing specifications of large-scale amusement
device - General principles
GB/T 20306, Amusement devices terminology
3 Terms and definitions
Terms and definitions determined by GB/T 20306 and the following ones are
applicable to this document.
3.1 Data channel
The physical channel for transmitting data, including all devices from sensors
to data loggers.
3.2 Acceleration transducer
A device that converts acceleration into electrical signals.
3.3 Transverse sensitivity
7 Instrument and equipment requirements
7.1 Acceleration test instruments and equipment include an acceleration tester
and a test dummy. The acceleration tester is generally composed of
acceleration transducers, amplifiers, indicators or loggers, and auxiliary devices
such as mounting brackets; the test dummy is composed of a dummy body and
an acceleration tester.
7.2 For the acceleration test, according to different test purposes and uses,
appropriate test instruments or equipment shall be selected.
7.3 The acceleration tester shall meet the following requirements:
a) The range shall not be less than ±10 g (g is the standard acceleration of
gravity, which is 9.81 m/s2);
b) The resolution shall not be greater than 2% of the range and not greater
than 0.05 g;
c) The non-linearity shall not be greater than 2.5% of range;
d) The transverse sensitivity shall not be greater than 3%;
e) The time resolution shall not be greater than the sampling interval time;
f) The time delay between different data channels shall not be greater than
the sampling interval time;
g) It shall have anti-aliasing filtering function;
h) It shall be calibrated regularly.
7.4 In addition to meeting the requirements in 7.3, the test dummy shall also
meet the following requirements:
a) The acceleration transducer and other built-in instruments and
accessories shall be firmly installed on the dummy body; there shall be no
relative movement during the test;
b) The height and weight of the test dummy shall meet the requirements for
passenger height and weight in the relevant standards and design
documents of large-scale amusement device;
c) The structure and mechanical properties of the test dummy shall meet the
requirements for rigidity and strength of large-scale amusement device
under various operating conditions.
each transducer and the test point shall not exceed 60 mm, and the axis shall
be orthogonal.
8.2.6 The acceleration transducer and related components shall be firmly
installed on the to-be-tested amusement ride; no relative movement shall occur
during the test.
8.2.7 After installation, the installation position and direction of the acceleration
transducer, and the angle between the human body coordinate system and the
direction of gravity shall be recorded.
8.3 Test dummy installation
8.3.1 The test dummy shall be installed firmly; there shall be no excessive
displacement, shaking or falling during the test.
8.3.2 During the amusement ride stimulation evaluation, the installation position
and axis of the acceleration transducer in the test dummy should be determined
in accordance with the provisions of GB 8408.
8.3.3 After installation, the installation position and direction of the test dummy
shall be recorded.
8.4 Acceleration test
8.4.1 The sampling frequency of the acceleration test shall not be less than 50
Hz.
8.4.2 The zero bias of each data channel shall be recorded separately.
8.4.3 The acceleration test should be carried out under three conditions of no-
load, partial load and full load respectively; it can also be carried out under other
load conditions when necessary.
8.4.4 When the design acceleration is significantly different between different
riding positions, no less than three positions shall be selected for testing.
8.5 Data processing and evaluation
8.5.1 Obvious distortion which is caused by instrument noise shall be eliminated
from the test data.
8.5.2 The test data shall be corrected when there is a zero bias.
8.5.3 The passenger acceleration threshold evaluation shall be implemented in
accordance with the provisions of GB 8408; the test data shall be filtered with
a 4th-order Butterworth low-pass filter whose filter cut-off frequency is 5 Hz.
