Foreword
This document was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020
"Directives for standardization - Part 1.Rules for the structure and drafting of
standardizing documents".
This document replaces GB/T 3487-2015 "Rims for passenger car". Compared with
GB/T 3487-2015, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main
technical changes in this document are as follows.
- Changed the layout of the diagrams, unifying the right side as the tire installation
side (see Figure 1, Figure 2 of this Edition; Figure 1, Figure 2 of Edition 2015);
- Modified the provisions of the "Snap-on valve hole" section (see 5.4.2 of this
Edition; 5.4.2 of Edition 2015);
- Added relevant provisions for "Compression-type valve hole" (see 5.4.3 of this
Edition).
The modification of this document adopted ISO 4000-2.2021 "Passenger car tyres and
rims -- Part 2.Rims".
Compared with ISO 4000-2.2021, this document has more structural adjustments. See
Annex A for a comparison of the structural number changes between the two documents.
The technical differences between this document and ISO 4000-2.2021 and their
reasons are as follows.
- ISO 3911 (see Chapter 3 of this document) was replaced by the normative reference
GB/T 2933 to adapt to China's technical conditions;
- The normative reference ISO 9413 (see Chapter 3 of this document; Table 5 in ISO
4000-2.2021) has been deleted, and the relevant content has been deleted;
- Added "Rim profile size code" and its illustration (see Chapter 4 of this document)
for ease of use;
- Deleted rim specifications and marking (see Chapter 4 of ISO 4000-2.2021) as
their contents are already specified in the referenced standards;
- The footnotes of the snap-on valve hole dimension drawing have been changed
(see the footnote of Figure 4 of this document; the footnote of Figure 3 in ISO
4000-2.2021). Figure 4 has been deleted because this provision in ISO 4000-
2.2021 is incorrect;
- The illustration of the compression valve hole dimensions has been changed (see
Figure 5 of this document; Figure 5 of ISO 4000-2.2021). Dimension d (see Table
5 of ISO 4000-2.2021) has been deleted and is now marked directly in Figure 5.
The following editorial changes were made to this document.
- To coordinate with the existing standards, the name of the standard is changed to
"Passenger car rims";
- A note was added to Figure 5."Due to the different manufacturing processes for
machining and punching, the figures shown are general rules."

1 Scope
This document specifies the specifications, profiles and dimensions of 5° deep groove
rims for passenger car wheels and tyre mating areas.
This document applies to rims for passenger car wheels.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this
document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references,
the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 2933
apply.
4 Rim profile size codes
The rim profile size codes are shown in Figure 1.
5 5° deep groove rim (5°DC)
The wheel rim models are divided into types B and J. The configuration of the wheel

The rim profile dimensions and tolerances shall comply with Figure 2 and Table 2.
With the exception of the valve hole area, the rim profile shall be rotationally
symmetrical.
