3.1
Free height
It refers to the height of the gasket sample or product under zero load.
3.2
Deflection recovery
5.3.2.4.1 After the pollution and compatibility test between the gasket and the
profile and glass, it is allowed for the light yellow pollution mark of the gasket
sample on the profile and glass, BUT it is not allowed to have deep color outline
or solid impression. The surfaces of the profiles, glass, and gasket samples
shall be free from foaming, sticky, or rugged appearance.
5.3.2.4.2 After the pollution and compatibility test of the gasket and the silicon
structural adhesive and silicon sealant, the color change of the structural
adhesive and sealant test sample as compared with the control sample of the
structural adhesive and sealant shall be equal to or less than the level 2
requirements in Table A.1 of GB 16776-2005.
5.3.2.5 Ageing performance
5.3.2.5.1 Ozone ageing resistance
After the ozone ageing resistance for 168 h, the sample surface shall be free
from cracking.
5.3.2.5.2 Light ageing performance
After the light ageing test for 8GJ/m2 (4000 h), the sample shall comply with the
following requirements.
a) Appearance. the surface does not appear crack, AND the color shall be
not less than level 3 if assessed in accordance with the grey scale level of
GB 250-1995.
b) Performance. When the static tensile elongation reaches 50%, the sample
shall not break.
6 Test method
6.1 Sample preparation and requirements
The time interval between the molding and testing of the gasket product or
sample shall not exceed 3 months, AND it shall ensure that the gasket products
or samples are under the original status after processing AND able to be tested.
When providing the gasket products or samples, it shall provide the drawings
and data containing such information as cross-sectional dimensions, shapes,
design hardness, designed working compression range, and the compressed
working face. The requirements for the records and reports are as shown in
Appendix A.
