This Standard equivalently adopts ISO 5985:2002 Animal feeding stuffs - Determination of ash insoluble in hydrochloric acid (English version). 1 Scope

This Standard specifies the determination method of ash insoluble in hydrochloric acid. The applicable treatment method depends on the nature of the sample. a) The burning treatment method is applicable to organic single feed and compound feed (except those mentioned in acid treatment method). b) The acid treatment method is applicable to minerals, mineral mixtures and compound feeds whose ash insoluble in hydrochloric acid measured by the burning treatment method is greater than 1%.
