General Rules of Laminated Films and Pouches for Packaging1 ScopeThis Standard specifies the terms, definitions, symbols, abbreviations, classification,
requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation and storage of
laminated films and pouches for packaging that are made of different materials through
different lamination methods.
This Standard applies to laminated films and pouches for food and non-food packaging; it
is not applicable to laminated films and pouches for pharmaceutical packaging.2 Normative referencesThe articles contained in the following documents have become part of this document
when they are quoted herein. For the dated documents so quoted, all subsequent
modifications (excluding corrigendum’s contents) or revisions made thereafter do not

3.1 Terms, definitions and symbols
3.1.1
Material
Here it refers to different types of resins, plastic films, coated films, paper, aluminum foil,
etc.
3.1.2
Lamination method
Dry lamination, wet lamination, wet lamination, extrusion lamination, coextru-lamination,
etc.
3.2 Abbreviations4 Classification4.1 Classification by structure
Products are divided into 4 categories, based on material structure, as shown in Table 1.
4.3 Classification by application
Products are divided into food packaging and non-food packaging based on application.5 Requirements5.1 Appearance quality
Appearance quality of films and pouches shall comply with the provisions in Table 2.
5.2 Printing quality
5.2.1 Gravure-printing
Gravure-printing quality shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 7707-1987.
5.3 Specifications
5.3.1 Dimensional deviation of flat film
Dimensional deviation of flat film in length is determined by both supplying-demanding
sides through negotiation; dimensional deviation in width is ±2 mm; average width
deviation is ±10%.6 Test methods6.1 Sample state adjustment and standard test environment
Follow the standard environment prescribed in GB/T 2918-1998 and normal deviation
range; air temperature is (23±2)°C; relative humidity is (50±10)%; state adjustment time is
not les than 4 h; and test is carried out under this condition.
6.2 Appearance quality
Visually test in natural light; and measure with the measuring tool of which the precision is
not less than 0.5 mm.
6.3 Printing quality
6.4 Dimensional deviation
6.4.1 Dimensional deviation of films and pouches in length and width follows the
provisions of GB/T 6673-2001.
6.4.2 Thickness deviation of films and pouches follow the provisions of GB/T 6672-2001.
6.5 Physical and mechanical properties
6.5.1 Pulling strength and elongation at break
Follow the provisions of GB/T 1040.3-2006.Use strip sample; the length is ≥ 150 mm; the
width is ≥ 15 mm; gauge length is (100±1) mm; tensile speed (no load) of the sample is
(250±25) mm/min.
Mount the test piece of which the diameter is 100 mm TO sample-film fixing ring; then
puncture with a steel-needle, of which the diameter is 1.0 mm and the spherical top
diameter is 0.5 mm, at speed of (50±5) mm/min; read the maximum load when the
steel-needle penetrates the test piece. Test more than 5 pieces; take the arithmetic mean
value. Puncture strength test device is shown in Figure 1.
6.5.12 Friction coefficient
Follow the provisions of GB/T 10006-1988.
6.5.13 Surface resistivity
Follow the provisions of GB/T 1410-2006.
6.5.14 High-temperature medium resistance
Respectively put 4% acetic acid (HAc), 1% sodium sulfide (Na2S), 5% sodium chloride
(NaCl) aqueous solution, and refined vegetable oil into pouch; then exhaust the air and
seal; carry out high-temperature pressurization treatment in autoclave with anti-pressure
cooling device at 121°C for 40 min; cool to below 40°C under the condition that the
temperature is maintained unchanged; take out and inspect the appearance one by one;
6.5.16 Hygienic property
Follow the provisions of GB/T 5009.60-2003; in which, detection of diaminotoluene follows
the provisions of GB/T 5009.119-2003.7 Inspection rules7.1 Laminated films and pouches for food packaging shall be tested for six items - 5.1
Appearance quality, 5.3 Specifications, 5.4.1 Pulling strength, 5.4.4 Heat-seal strength,
5.4.5 Peel strength and 5.4.17 hygienic property; other items are determined by both
supplying-demanding sides through negotiation.
7.3 Other contents of inspection rules follow the provisions of specific product standards.8 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage8.1 Marking
Inside and outside packaging of each product shall be accompanied by product
qualification certificate, indicating product name, specifications, quantity, batch number,
date of manufacture, code of inspector, name of manufacturing plant, plant address,
executive standard number, etc.
8.2 Packaging
Films and pouches are generally packaged in paper-carton lined with Kraft paper or thin
film; it may also be determined by both supplying-demanding sides through negotiation.
8.4 Storage
Products shall be stored in clean, dry, ventilated, suitable-temperature warehouse; avoid
sunlight; the distance to heat source is not less than 1m; products shall be reasonably
stacked.
