Foreword
This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaced GB/T 20933-2007 Hot Rolled U-Sheet Pile. Compared with
GB/T 20933-2007, this Standard mainly has the major changes as follows.
--- Modify the standard name into “Hot Rolled Sheet Pile”;
--- Modify the code and expression method of sheet pile;
--- Adjust the specifications of U-sheet pile;
--- Increase the Z-sheet pile and linear sheet pile;
--- Modify the dimension and shape permissible deviation of the sheet pile;
--- Modify the grade and chemical composition of the sheet pile;
--- Supplement the provisions on the sampling position of the sheet pile.
This Standard was proposed by China Iron and Steel Industry Association.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee for
Standardization of Steel (SAC/TC 183).
Drafting organizations of this Standard. Magang (Group) Holding Co., Ltd., Hebei Jinxi

Hot Rolled Sheet Pile
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the ordering content, classification, code, dimension, shape,
weight and permissible deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection
rules, package, mark and quality certificate of the hot rolled sheet pile.
This Standard is applicable to the hot rolled sheet pile (hereinafter referred to as “sheet
pile”) which is used for dam foundation reinforcement, cut-off cofferdam, and other
seepage-prevention and water-retaining engineering; as well as the structural
foundation engineering like earth-retaining wall, water-retaining wall, building
foundation pit support.

6.4 Locking shape
The locking shape of sheet pile shall ensure easy to engage each other when piling,
and easy to separate when pulling.
6.5 Surface quality
6.5.1 The sheet pile shall be free from the twisting or deformation that affect the its
use.
6.5.2 The sheet pile surface is not allowed to have the defects that affect its use. If
there are defects affecting the use, allow to use grinding wheel and other mechanical
methods to grind or weld the defects, and further remove the defects.
After removing the defects, the cross-section size of the sheet pile shall be within the
range of the permissible deviation; such restriction can also be properly relaxed
according to the usage and through the negotiation between the supplier and the
purchaser. The interface between the defect-removing site and originally rolling
surface shall be smooth without any edges; and the defect-removing width shall be no
less than 5 times of the defect-removing depth.
The soldering shall be carried out as per the following provisions.
a) The defects on the sheet pile surface shall be completely removed through
eradicating, grinding by grinding wheel, and other mechanical methods before
the soldering. After soldering, grinding must be carried out, and maintain
consistent with the original rolling surface.
b) The outer welding edge of sheet pile shall be free from the undercut and
overripen. Enhance the welding slope height of the welding seam to at least
1.5mm above the original rolling surface; after cleaning and enhancing the
welding slope through eradicating, grinding by grinding wheel and other
mechanical method to ensure the same height as the original rolling surface.
c) The soldering mush be carried out as per the steel grade, and by adopting proper
processes.
d) The thickness of defect-removing before soldering must be less than 30%
nominal thickness of the cleaned surface; the soldering area must be less than
