Chapter 4; Chapter 4 of the 2006 edition);
-- Modify the classification of rubber tracks (see 5.1; 5.1 of the 2006 edition);
-- Refine the marking method for rubber tracks, and add the description of the
marking method for track types (see Chapter 5; Chapter 5 of the 2006 edition);
-- Modify the physical and mechanical properties of rubber materials for rubber
tracks (see 6.1; 6.1 of the 2006 edition);
-- Modify the core metal bending strength to core metal bending resistance (see

(see 6.3; 6.3 of the 2006 edition);
-- Modify the longitudinal tension of the track to the longitudinal design tension of
the track (see 6.4; 6.4 of the 2006 edition);
-- Modify the appearance quality requirements of rubber tracks (see 6.5; 6.5 of the
2006 edition);
-- Modify the dimensional tolerances of rubber tracks (see 6.6; 6.6 of the 2006
edition);

Rubber track
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, product structure, classification and
identification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging,
transportation, storage and use of rubber tracks.
This Standard applies to rubber tracks which are made of a composite of rubber and
metal or fiber materials and are mainly used for the walking parts of agricultural
machinery, engineering machinery and transport vehicles.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this
document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references,
the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
GB/T 528, Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of tensile stress-
strain properties
GB/T 529, Rubber vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of tear strength
(Trouser, angle and crescent test pieces)
GB/T 531.1, Rubber vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of indentation
hardness - Part 1.Duromerer method (Shore hardness)
GB/T 1689, Rubber vulcanized. Determination of abrasion resistance (Akron
machine)
3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
rubber track
An annular rubber belt composed of rubber and metal or fiber material, which is mainly
applied to the walking parts of agricultural machinery, engineering machinery and
transport vehicles.
3.2
lug
The geometry of the ground contact side of a rubber track.
3.3
outer rubber
The outer side of the rubber track, the part that contacts the ground when traveling.
3.4
inner rubber
The inner side of the rubber track, the part opposite to the running wheel when traveling.
3.5
core metal
The part of the rubber track that transmits power, guides and provides lateral support.
3.6
strength layer
The skeleton layer in the rubber track that bears tension and transmits power, which is
usually made of materials such as wire cord (fiber rope).
4 Product structure
The schematic diagram of cross-section structure of the rubber track is shown in Figure
1.
5 Classification and marking
5.1 Classification
Rubber tracks are classified into the following three types according to the drive mode.
5.2 Marking
5.2.1 Marking method
The marking of rubber tracks consists of rubber track type, width (mm), pitch (mm),
track type, number of rubber track sections (variable), and applicable maximum
machine weight (t). See Figure 2 for the marking method.
5.2.2 Examples of marking
6 Requirements
6.1 Rubber materials
The physical and mechanical properties of rubber materials for rubber tracks and the
corresponding test methods shall comply with the requirements of Table 1.
Applicable maximum machine weight (t)
6.2 Core metal
6.2.1 Bonding strength between core metal and rubber
The bonding strength between core metal and rubber shall not be less than 12 kN/m.
6.2.2 Bending resistance of core metal
When the core metal is subjected to bending force, the maximum bending resistance
required to maintain elastic deformation shall be no less than 0.5 times the weight of
the machine.
6.4 Longitudinal design tension of rubber track
The longitudinal design tension of rubber track shall be greater than 5 times the weight
of the machine.
6.5 Appearance quality
The appearance quality of rubber track shall comply with the requirements of Table 3.
7 Test methods
7.1 Sample preparation and adjustment
The test track shall be placed at room temperature for 48 hours before testing, including.
size and surface hardness measurement, product dissection, sample preparation, etc.
7.2 Physical and mechanical properties of rubber materials
7.3 Core metal
7.3.1 Bonding strength between core metal and rubber
The determination of the bonding strength between core metal and rubber shall be
carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 7760, and the test samples shall
be prepared from semi-finished products.
7.3.2 Bending resistance of core metal
7.5 Longitudinal tension
The breaking force of a single steel wire shall be determined in accordance with the
provisions of GB/T 8358.
The breaking force of a single fiber rope shall be determined in accordance with the
provisions of HG/T 2821.1.
7.6 Appearance quality
The appearance quality is checked visually, with a vernier caliper and a steel ruler.
7.7 Dimensions
The measurement of the overall dimensions shall be carried out in accordance with the
provisions of Appendix A.
8 Inspection rules
8.1 Batching and sampling
The rubber tracks are batched by 10 000 pieces (where the number is less than 10 000,
they shall be counted as one batch),
8.2 Inspection classification
8.2.1 Ex-factory inspection
The appearance quality of rubber tracks shall be 100% inspected before leaving the
factory.
8.2.2 Type inspection
All technical requirements listed in Chapter 6 are type inspection items. Type inspection
shall usually be carried out in any of the following situations.
8.3 Determination rules
8.3.1 If any one of the appearance quality is unqualified, the track is unqualified; if the
external dimensions are unqualified, then the batch of tracks is unqualified.
8.3.2 If any item of the physical and mechanical properties listed in Table 1 fails to meet
the requirements, double the number of samples shall be taken from the same batch of
tracks for retesting of the item. If the retest results are still unqualified, the batch of
products shall be unqualified.
8.3.5 If the longitudinal design tension of the rubber track listed in 6.4 does not meet
the requirements, double the number of samples shall be taken from the same batch of
tracks for retesting of this item. If the retest results are still unqualified, the batch of
products shall be unqualified.
8.3.6 If the bonding strength between wire cord (fiber cord) and rubber listed in Table
2 does not meet the requirements, double the number of samples shall be prepared from
the same batch of rubber and wire cord (fiber) for retesting.
9 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage and use
9.1 Each rubber track shall be marked and accompanied by a product certificate (stamp).
The certificate shall indicate.
9.2 When packing rubber tracks, plastic film is usually used and tied firmly with tape
or woven cloth. It can also be packed according to user requirements.
9.3 During transportation, rubber tracks shall be protected from bumps and scratches,
kept clean, and not dropped, dragged, rolled, or hooked or hung with hard objects.
9.5 Under the conditions specified in 9.3 and 9.4, the product performance shall comply
with the requirements of this Standard within one year from the date of leaving the
factory.
9.6 When selecting rubber tracks, users shall confirm the specific parameters in detail
with the rubber track manufacturer. Various machines and equipment shall be matched
with rubber tracks of specified specifications, and rubber tracks shall not be used on
other models at will.
