Foreword
This standard "The Reuse of Urban Recycling Water" was developed by the Ministry
of Construction of the People's Republic of China with a view to implementing the
policy of water pollution prevention and control and water resource development of
China, improving the water utilization rate, doing the urban water conservation work
well, rationally utilizing water resource, realizing recycling of urban sewage, reducing
the pollution of sewage on environment and promoting the sustainable development
of urban construction and economic construction.
Presently, the "The Reuse of Urban Recycling Water" is divided into five parts.
"The Reuse of Urban Recycling Water-Classified Standard"
"The Reuse of Urban Recycling Water-Water Quality Standard for Urban
Miscellaneous Water Consumption"
"The Reuse of Urban Recycling Water-Water Quality Standard for Scenic
Environment Use"
"The Reuse of Urban Recycling Water-Water Quality Standard for Make-up Water
Source"
"The Reuse of Urban Recycling Water-Water Quality Standard for Industrial Uses"
This standard is the second part.
This standard was prepared on the basis of the "Miscellaneous Domestic Water
Quality Standard" (CJ/T 48-1999); the main changes in this standard are as follows.
(1) As for the water consumption category, the miscellaneous water for
fire-fighting and miscellaneous water for building construction site was
added;
(2) As for the water quality items, the dissolved oxygen was added and the
chloride, total hardness, chemical oxygen demand and suspended matter
were deleted;
(3) The number of water quality categories was increased from 2 to 5;
(4) The water quality index value was adjusted correspondingly.
CJ/T 48-1999 shall be abolished simultaneously from the implementation date of this
standard.
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Construction of the People's Republic
The Reuse of Urban Recycling Water - Water Quality
Standard for Urban Miscellaneous Water Consumption
1 Scope
This standard specifies the water quality standard, sampling and analysis methods of
the urban miscellaneous water consumption.
This standard is applicable to the miscellaneous water used for toilet flushing, road
cleaning, fire-fighting, urban greening, vehicle cleaning and building construction site.
