This standard applies to motor vehicles. Combination vehicles may make reference to it. 2 Normative references The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. For the dated references, the subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this standard; however, parties who reach an agreement based on this standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies. GB/T 1184 Geometrical tolerancing - Geometrical tolerance for features without individual tolerance indications (GB/T 1184-1996, eqv ISO 2768-2: 1989) 3 Terms and definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1 Static rollover stability The motor vehicle’s inherent resistance to rollover when subjected to lateral forces under static conditions. 3.2 Roll angle When the motor vehicle rolls together with the roll test bench, the angle between the supporting plane of the motor vehicle’s wheels and the horizontal plane. reaches the critical roll state. 5 Test conditions 5.1 Technical conditions of motor vehicles 5.1.1 The assemblies, components and auxiliary equipment of motor vehicles (including on-board tools and spare tires) must be fully equipped according to the exit-factory technical conditions. They shall be installed in the specified position. If the position is adjustable (such as lifting shaft, adjustable air suspension), it shall be adjusted to a state which is appropriate to the load. 5.1.2 The tire’s pressure shall be in accordance with the technical requirements of the motor vehicle. The error shall not exceed 10 kPa. 5.1.3 In order to prevent leakage of fuel, lubricating oil, coolant, it may use the method of blockage or equivalent mass substitution. 5.1.4 For motor vehicles which adopt air suspension and oil-gas suspension, it shall install the safety device to prevent the suspension from coming off. For those which have a height-adjustment mechanism, it shall lock the mechanism. 5.1.5 It shall, according to the measurement requirements, determine the load state of the motor vehicle (if there is no special requirement, based on the curb mass state). Where it requires installing simulated load on the motor vehicle, all loads shall be appropriately positioned, to avoid displacement during the roll test of motor vehicles. 5.2 Environmental conditions The ambient wind speed is not more than 1.5 m/s. 6 Test methods 6.1 Determination of max stable roll angle of motor vehicle when it rolls leftwards 6.1.1 Place the motor vehicle on the roll test bench. Allow the wheel to be in a straight-line driving state. The longitudinally symmetrical plane of the motor vehicle is parallel to the center line of the test bench. 6.1.2 Apply the parking brake. Install anti-slip stop and the anti-rollover safety equipment. 6.1.3 Start the test bench, so that the motor vehicle is tilted leftwards together with the test bench at an appropriate speed (when the roll angle is more than ...
