Industrial rubber sheet
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the specifications, dimensions, classification, labeling,
requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging,
transportation and storage for industrial rubber sheets.
This Standard applies to industrial rubber sheets made primarily of natural rubber or
synthetic rubber (hereinafter referred to as industrial rubber sheets). It also applies to
rubber strip products with rectangular cross-sections.

3 Specifications and dimensions
The nominal thickness, width and deviation of industrial rubber sheets shall comply
with the requirements of Table 1.The nominal length and deviation shall be determined
by negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.
4 Classification
Industrial rubber sheets are divided into three categories according to their oil resistance,
see Table 2.
5 Labeling
5.1 Labeling method
Products are labeled in the following order.
Product name, reference to this Standard, technical characteristic code.
5.2 Labeling example
A tear-resistant, oil-resistant rubber sheet with a tensile strength of 5 MPa, an elongation
at break of 400%, a nominal hardness of 60 IRHD, is labeled as.
6 Requirements
6.1 Basic properties
6.1.1 Tensile strength is divided into seven levels as shown in Table 3.
rubber sheet must be straight and approximately parallel. There must be no bending or
warping. The maximum deviation from a straight line must not exceed 15 mm per 10
meters. Additional requirements can be agreed upon between the supplier and the
purchaser.
7 Test methods
7.1 Specifications and dimensions
Measure thickness with a gauge with an accuracy of 0.02 mm. Take measurements at 5
evenly spaced points along the width of the sheet. Take the arithmetic mean of the 5
measured values. Length and width are measured with a tape measure.
7.2 Rubber sheet properties
7.2.1 The oil resistance shall be determined in accordance with the method specified in
GB/T 1690-2006.Test conditions. (100±1)°C × 72 h.
7.2.2 The tensile strength and elongation at break shall be determined in accordance
with the method specified in GB/T 528-1998.Use Type I specimens.
7.2.3 The determination of rubber international hardness (IRHD) shall be carried out in
accordance with the method specified in GB/T 6031-1998.The determination of Shore
A hardness shall be carried out in accordance with the method specified in GB/T 531-
1999.Specimens requiring grinding shall be tested 16 h after grinding. Arbitration tests
shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 6031-1998.
7.2.4 Hot air aging and heat resistance tests shall be carried out in accordance with the
method specified in GB/T 3512-2001.Test conditions. Ar1.(70 ± 1)°C × 72 h; Ar2.(100
± 1)°C × 72 h.
7.2.5 The low temperature resistance shall be determined in accordance with the method
specified in GB/T 15256-1994.
7.2.6 The tear resistance test shall be carried out in accordance with the method
specified in GB/T 529-1999.The specimens shall be rectangular uncut specimens.
7.2.7 The ozone aging resistance test shall be carried out in accordance with the method
specified in GB/T 7762-2003.
7.2.8 The compression set test shall be carried out in accordance with the method
specified in GB/T 7759-1996.
7.2.9 The flame-retardant performance test shall be carried out in accordance with the
method specified in GB 8624.
