1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, energy efficiency grades, technical
requirements and test methods for rotary aerator in wastewater treatment.
This Standard is applicable to the electric-motor-driven vertical shaft rotary aerator,
horizontal shaft rotary aerator and self-priming impeller aerator used for various
industrial wastewater and municipal sewage treatment process, and water
reoxygenation,

3.1 Energy efficiency ratio for rotary aerator
Under the specified test conditions, the ratio of the amount of oxygen delivered to the
clean water with zero dissolved oxygen per unit time by the rotary aerator and the total
energy consumption.
