Fiber-Glass Reinforced Plastic Septic Tank
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the raw material, model and structure, requirements, test
methods, inspection rules, label, package, transportation and storage of fiber-glass
reinforced plastic septic tank (herein after refers to “septic tank”).
This Standard is applicable to the septic tank with raw materials of glass fiber and
unsaturated polyester resin.
2 Normative References

6.6 Water absorption rate
It shall be measured as per GB/T 1462.
6.7 Water resistance
It shall be measured as per GB/T 2575.
6.8 Impact strength
In the place over the central position of the septic tank (avoid the cleaning hole), use a
2000g steel ball to conduct free fall from the height 2m; measure at the place where
the steel ball impacts.
6.9 Leakage test
Fix the septic tank in backfill or other modes; seal the inlet and outlet, fill the tank with
water thoroughly; stand for 24h to observe; there shall be no leakage or obvious
deformation phenomena.
6.10 Initial ring stiffness
It shall be measured as per GB/T 21238.
7 Inspection Rules
Inspection is divided into exit-factory inspection and type inspection.
7.1 Exit-factory inspection
7.1.1 Inspection items
Before each septic tank leaves the factory, it shall conduct inspection items in 5.1, 5.2
and 5.3.6.
7.1.2 Judgment rules
If each item in exit-factory inspection conforms to the requirements, then the product
shall be judged as qualified. If there are disqualified items, the product shall be
repaired once, then re-inspect; if it is still disqualified after repairing, then judge this
batch of products as disqualified.
7.2 Type Inspection
7.2.1 Type inspection conditions
Type inspection includes all items in Chapter 5. When one of the following conditions
occurs, the type inspection shall be conducted.
a) When determining the product model and put into production;
b) When raw materials and formulation have significant changes, which may affect
the product performance;
c) Conduct the inspection every three years for normal production;
d) Restore production when shutdown for more than half a year.
7.2.2 Sampling
Conduct sampling from the qualified products in exit-factory inspection.
7.2.3 Judgment
After inspection, if there are disqualified items, allow for double sampling and
