1 Scope

This standard specifies the method for determination of aluminum and aluminum alloys of rare earth cerium group. The standard of the present method is applicable to the determination of total rare earth aluminum in aluminum and cerium group. Measurement range of 0.050% - 0.400%. This standard does not apply to the present method for the determination of aluminum and aluminum alloys of rare earth cerium group containing yttrium group rare earth.

2 Method summary

The sample is dissolved in hydrochloric acid, hydrochloric acid - oxalic acid medium with hydrogen peroxide and ethanol elimination of titanium (Ⅳ) and iron (Ⅲ) interference, in about 1mol/L HCl medium, rare earth and cerium group Tribromoarsenazo generate stable blue-violet complex, in the spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 634nm Measuring the absorbance.
