1 Scope

This standard specifies the sponge hafnium requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificate and contract (or Orders) and so on. This standard applies to hafnium tetrachloride by magnesium reduction, produced by vacuum distillation of hafnium sponge.

2 Requirements

2.1 Categories Hafnium sponge use is divided into atomic energy and industrial grade two grades.
