This standard is the revision of SB 235-1985 "Technical Conditions of Soybean Refiner", the main difference between this standard and SB 235-1985 as follows. --- Added Chapter 1 "Scope", Chapter 2 "Regulatory References"; --- Chapter 3 adds the definition of "rated output"; --- Re-arranged the provisions listed in Chapter 4 and made corresponding additions and deletions; --- Chapter 5 "Test methods" and Chapter 4 "Technical Requirements" corresponding re-arrangement; --- Revised Chapter 6 "Inspection Rules". 1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of soybean refiners. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of soybean refiners with grinding wheels as grinding discs. This standard does not apply to non-grinding wheel refiners, and does not stipulate the “multi-purpose” part of a multi-purpose machine.
