Summary: This standard specifies the relevant terms and definitions, classification of organic matter and potassium permanganate oxidation method for determination of easily oxidized organic matter content, potassium dichromate oxidation method for the determination of organic matter content, burning method for the determination of total organic matter and ash content, moisture content of the test method. This standard applies to the organic materials as the main raw material through fermentation degradation process from the solid fertilizer and soil conditioner. This standard also applies to non-product solid organic materials such as compost, agricultural waste and fermentation intermediates. The determination of water content shall be carried out according to the provisions of Appendix A. The expression of the content of organic matter, the content of organic matter, the total amount of organic matter and the content of ash shall be carried out according to the provisions of Appendix B. This standard does not apply to water-soluble fertilizers.
