Scope

1.1 This part in NB/T 47003 specifies the requirements in design, manufacture, inspection and acceptance of silos for solid materials (hereinafter referred to as silos). 1.2 This part is applicable to steei or Aluminum made welded vertical circular silos used for storing solid bulky materials, which the volume is greater than 15m3, the design pressure is larger than -500Pa and less than O.lMPa, and the design temperature is the service temperature required by silos shell material. The silos which the parameters exceed above parameter range may be designed and manufactured by reference to this paii. 1.3 This standard is not applicable to the following siloses. a) Silos directly embedded underground; b) Siloses storing extremely or highly toxic medium; c) Bunkers moved often; d) Bunkers which the volume is less than or equal to l 5m3 .

As for the metal temperature under 0 'C, the design temperature must not be higher than the minimal temperature the component metal may reach. Note. The design pressure and design temperature under sever working conditions, of the silos under various operating conditions, shall be indicated clear in the pattern or correspond technical document. 3.6 Test Temperature Test temperature is referred to the metal temperature of the vessel shell in the process of the pressure test. 4 General Provisions 4.1 General Rules The design, manufacture, inspection and acceptance of silos shall meet the requirements of NB/T 47003.1, besides the requirements of this pati in NB/T 47003. 4.2 Scope of Silos The silos scope in this Pati refers to the silos shell and the spare parts connected with it, which are restricted to the following scope. a) Connection of silos to external pipe. 1) The first girth joint groove end face on weld joint; 2) The first threaded connector end surface of screwed joint; 3) The first flange sealing surface of flange joint; 4) The first sealing surface of special connecting piece or pipe fittings connection; b) Closing component patis of silos opening, like fanned head of manhole and handhole, flat-cover and their connecting fasteners; c) Bearing components, opening reinforcement components, their welding joints with the shell, etc.; d) Safe relief devices directly mounted on silos (meeting the requirements of the pattern). 4.3 Qualification and Responsibility 4.3.1 The design and manufacturing organizations of the silos shall be possessed of sound quality management system. 5.1.5 For selecting the materials for silos, the following factors shall be taken into consideration. operating conditions (like design temperature, media characteristics and operating feature). Welding performance of material, manufacturing process of silos, silos economical rationality, etc .. 5.1.6 The special requirements, if specified for the material, shall be indicated clear by the design organization in the pattern or corresponding technical documents. 5.2 Steel Plate 5.2.1 The standard operating condition and allowable stress of steel plates shall meet the requirements of Table 5. 5.2.2 The application scope of carbon steel rimmed sheet Q235A.F shall meet the following requirements. a) The service temperature of the steel plate is O'C-250 'C; b) The thickness of the steel plate, used for silos shell, is not greater ihan 16mm; c) It must not be used for the silos containing the medium with extremely, highly and intermediate hazard medium, or combustible medium. Note. The level division of medium toxici ty shall meet the requirements of HG 20660. 5.2.3 The application scope of carbon st ill steel Q235A, Q235B and Q235C shall meet the following requirements. a) The service temperature of the steel plate is 0°C-350 °C; b) The thickness of the steel plate, used for silos shell, is not greater than 40mm. Note. The silos open to surrounding is not limited by above application scope. 5.2.4 Q245R and Q345R steel plates, used for the component paiis like flange and flat- cover, with the thickness greater than 50mm, shall be used under normalized condition. 5.2.5 When the steel plate is used for silos shell circular cylinder, and the design temperature and the steel plate thickness meet the following conditions, a steel plate shall be selected from each batch for Charpy V-notch low temperature impact test. The test temperature shall be the design minimum temperature, and the test piece is sampled along the transverse direction. a) Q245R steel plate which the design temperature is -20°C-- l0 °C and the steel plate thickness is greater than 12mm. the impact power mean value of 3 test pieces is not less than 27J; it is allowable that the impact power of a test piece is less than the mean value, and it...
