1 Scope

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Borehole transient electromagnetic method is a non-contact method based on the obvious resistivity difference between coal seams, surrounding rocks and potential geological anomalies. The method is to establish an artificial electromagnetic field in the space around the borehole through a transmitting coil, and measure the induction in the formation after the field disappears in the borehole. The secondary magnetic field is used to detect geological anomalies. This can be used when there is a discernible electrical difference between the detected anomaly and the background rock. method. 3.2 The drilling coordinate system consists of three components.
