1 Scope

This document specifies the drilling design, drilling construction and gas prevention technology of the coal seam gas zone in the coal lane strip with directional long drilling along the seam. Sampling, testing of effectiveness of regional prevention measures, and regional verification. This document is applicable to regional coal seam outburst prevention technology work that uses long directional drilling along the seam to pre-extract coal seam gas from coal lanes and strips.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 A long-distance borehole is formed by directly constructing in the coal seam and controlling the drilling axis to extend along the designed trajectory in the coal seam. 3.2 Main borehole The drilling trajectory is a long directional drilling hole along the layer at the main design position. 3.3 branch drilling branchborehole A branch is constructed from a certain position of the main borehole to detect the roof and floor of the coal seam and control the long directional drilling section along the coal seam extraction area.

4 Drilling design

4.1 General requirements The measures to prevent coal seam gas from bursting in coal seams by using long directional drilling holes along the seams to pre-extract coal lanes should meet but not be limited to the following requirements. a) Drilling design should be carried out based on the known coal seam occurrence conditions; b) Main drilling holes can be evenly distributed to cover the coal seams in the pre-extraction area of the coal roadway strip; when the main drilling holes cannot effectively control the coal seams, the main ......
