Introduction

This specification is based on JJF 1071-2010 "Rules for Writing National Metrology and Calibration Specifications" and JJF 1059.1-2012 Compiled "Evaluation and Expression of Measurement Uncertainty". This specification replaces JJG280-1981 "M4-1 Standard Thermistor Bridge Verification Procedure" and is consistent with JJG280- The main changes compared to 1981 are as follows. --- The original name of the regulation was "M4-1 Standard Thermistor Bridge", which is now revised to "Power Indicator Calibration Regulation" Fan"; --- Added zero point, zero drift, calibration coefficient and linear calibration items, and deleted the working resistance calibration item; --- Added calibration method for amplifier power indicator, including calibration source 1mW output power, etc.; ---The power range is extended from 15μW~5mW to 3μW~100mW. Previous versions of this specification are. ---JJG280-1981 "M4-1 Standard Thermistor Bridge". Power Indicator Calibration Specifications

1 Scope

This specification applies to the calibration of 3μW~100mW (-25dBm~ 20dBm) power indicators.

2 Overview

Power indicators can be divided into two types according to their working principle. amplified type and bridge type. The power sensor (thermocouple/diode) converts the RF and microwave signals into DC or low-frequency signals. The power measurement is completed by amplification, processing and conversion. The bridge power indicator adopts the principle of Wheatstone bridge, and replaces the DC Power completes power measurement. The display modes of bridge power indicator are divided into pointer type and digital type. 3.Metering characteristics 3.1 Amplified Power Indicator Metering Characteristics a) Zero point Maximum allowable error. ±75nW. Note. The power indicator reading is after the initial zero adjustment. b) Zero drift Maximum allowable error. ±0.2%FS. Note. After the power indicator is initially zeroed and calibrated, the power indicator range remains unchanged and the indicator reading changes. c) Power range Range. 3μW~100mW (-25dBm~ 20dBm); Maximum allowable error. ±0.5% (±0.02dB). d) Calibration factor Range. 100%~85% (1.000mW~1.176mW); Maximum allowable error. ±(0.002~0.006)mW. e) Calibration source output power Power.1mW (50MHz); Maximum allowable error. ±0.75%. 3.2 Bridge power indicator measurement characteristics 3.2.1 Pointer bridge power indicator a) Power range Range. 10μW~10mW; Maximum allowable error. ±1%FS. b) Calibration coefficient Range. 88%~100% (1000mV~880mV); Maximum allowable error. ±(2~10)mV.
