Summary: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, rating, classification, type and marking, technical requirements and test methods, packaging, transportation and storage of household and similar electrical fan switches (hereinafter referred to as switches). This standard applies to electric fans mounted in households or similar applications. The voltage rating shall not exceed 480 V with the aid of human motion or by a person activating the sensor to actuate the switch (or by means of a switch system) to switch on and off the electrical apparatus. Rated current is not more than 30A switch. This standard applies to switches that are operated by actuating elements or by an excitation sensor (which may be physically or electrically combined with a switch or separately). Similar switches used in special circumstances can also refer to the implementation.
