1 Scope

This standard specifies the method for the extraction and determination of total lipids in marine algae. This standard applies to the extraction and determination of total lipids in marine algae. Total lipid extraction and determination in other algae can be used as reference.

3 Principle of the method

The lipid compound in the algal sample was extracted by a methanol chloroform mixed solution and then determined by a gravimetric method.
