This Standard is based on "Ambient Air Quality Standards”; and specifies the requirements and procedures for daily report and real-time report of ambient air quality index. The concentration of pollutants in this Standard refers to mass concentration. Appendix A of this Standard is normative. This Standard was organized and developed by the Division of Science and Technology of Ministry of Environmental Protection. Main drafting organizations of this Standard. Technical Regulation on Ambient Air Quality Index (on trial)1 Application ScopeThis Standard specifies classification scheme and calculation methods of ambient air quality index; ambient air quality levels and categories; and requirements of publishing content of daily report and real-time report, publishing formats and other relevant information of ambient air quality index. This Standard applies to ambient air quality index’s daily report, real-time report and forecasting, it is used to provide health advice to the public.2 Normative referencesThe following documents or their provisions are referenced in this Standard. For undated references, the latest versions apply to this Standard. GB 3095 Ambient Air Quality Standards HJ/T 193 Automated methods for ambient air quality monitoring "Ambient Air Quality Monitoring (on trial)" (SEPA Notice No. 4 of 2007)3 Terms and definitionsThe following terms and definitions apply to this Standard. 3.1 Air quality index (AQI) The dimensionless index which quantitatively describes the status of air quality. 3.2 Individual air quality index (IAQI) indicators. 5.1.4 When calculating air quality index of each monitoring site, the air quality sub-index and air quality index of each pollutant shall use the corresponding site’s pollutant concentration, the concentration limits in Table l, formula (1) and Formula (2) to calculate. 5.1.5 Data of daily report and real-time report shall be preliminarily audited by the Air Quality Index Daily Report Software System. Data of daily report and real-time report is only the reference data of the specific day. Monthly data shall be revised and confirmed in early following month according to the complete audit procedure. 5.2 Format of publishing data 5.2.1 Data of daily report of Air Quality Index shall conform to the requirements in Table 3. 5.2.2 Data of real-timey report of Air Quality Index shall conform with the requirements in Table 4.6 Other Requirements6.1 Layout and adjustment of monitoring sites, setting of monitoring frequency, statistics and process of monitoring data relevant to ambient air quality monitoring and evaluation shall be executed according to "Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Regulations (Trial)", HJ/T 193, other related standards and other normative documents. 6.2 Calculation results of Ambient Air Quality Index and air quality sub-index shall all be rounded up to integer, decimal shall not be retained. 6.3 This Standard shall be used simultaneously with GB 3095-2012. 6.4 When evaluating if ambient air quality meets the requirements, it shall be executed in accordance with the provisions of GB 3095.
