1 Scope

This part of GB/T 9966 specifies the principle of natural stone capillary water absorption coefficient test, equipment, sample preparation, test procedures, Test results and test reports. This section applies to the determination of the capillary water absorption coefficient of natural stone.

4 Principle

After the sample is dried to a constant weight, immerse one side (the untreated side) of the sample into a depth of (3±1) mm below the water surface, and measure within the specified time period Mass increase, calculate the capillary water absorption coefficient, that is, the water absorption per unit area over time.

5 Equipment
