1 Scope

This standard specifies the determination method in transformer oils in a water-soluble acid. This method is suitable for the operation of transformer oil, other mineral oils Determination of water-soluble acid may be implemented by reference.

3 Method Summary

Under test conditions, test oil samples mixed with an equal volume of distilled water, whichever is the liquid part of the water out through colorimetric determination of water-soluble oil acid. Results are expressed as pH. Similarly, the method can be used pH meter, refer to Appendix A; Haili Qi colorimetric, see Appendix B.

4 Reagents and materials

4.1 double distilled water or demineralized water, after boiling, pH 6.0 to 7.0, a conductivity of less than 3μs/cm (25 ℃).
