Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 6383-2009 "Vibration Cavitation Test Method". 1 Scope

This document specifies the test equipment, specimen preparation, test conditions, test procedures, data processing and test report for cavitation test. This document is applicable to material cavitation tests using test devices such as vibration cavitation, rotating disk cavitation and jet cavitation, which are used to evaluate the performance of metal materials. The damage caused by cavitation in fluid media and its cavitation resistance can be used as a reference for other materials that are subjected to cavitation caused by liquid impact.

3 Terms and definitions
