1 Scope

This document specifies the classification, general technical requirements, test methods and setting requirements for flashing light signals in urban road traffic. This document is applicable to the design, testing and installation of traffic flashing light signals fixedly installed on urban roads, and fixedly installed on other roads. 3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB 13954-2009 and the following apply to this document. 3.1 A light signal that is fixed on the road and emits a warning or road traffic information with a certain flashing frequency and color. Note 1.Traffic flashing light signals do not belong to road traffic signals (road traffic lights, signs and markings). Note 2.Traffic flashing light signals may be set up on the roadside or on the road surface. Note 3.Fixed setting refers to setting after passing road safety assessment, not temporary setting. 3.2 pulseinterval The time interval between adjacent pulses within one flash cycle. 3.3 Synchronous deviation timedifference The time difference between the synchronous flashing of combined traffic flashing light signals under the same trigger signal conditions.
