This Part is applicable to the installation and acceptance of the electronic identification of motor vehicles on the front windshield of automobiles.2 Normative referencesThe following documents are essential to the application of this document. Automobile QB/T 4086 Glass cleaner3 Terms and definitionsThe terms and definitions defined in GB/T 35789.1-2017 and the following ones are applicable to this document. 3.1 Aperture for radiowave The area without any films and metallic materials on the front windshield of an automobile, which is used for wireless signal transmission.4 Requirements4.1 Installation mode The electronic identification of motor vehicles shall be front facing the front of motor vehicles, and be attached to the inside of the front windshield of automobiles by means of an adhesive. 4.2 Installation position The requirements for the installation position of the electronic identification of motor vehicles are as follows. a) In case of equipped with the aperture for radiowave, the installation position is shown in Annex A, A.1. In case of no aperture for radiowave, it should be installed in the horizontal center and upper vertical position on the front windshield of vehicles. The installation position of different models shall be adjusted according to the actual situation, in order to obtain the best reading performance. For the installation position, SEE Annex A, A.2. b) After the installation of the electronic identification of motor vehicles, the distance between the outer edge and the film and the metallic material shall not be less than 10mm. c) The installation position shall not interfere with the driver’s vision and not distract the driver. 4.3 Installation conditions The installation conditions for the electronic identification of motor vehicles shall meet the following requirements. a) The front windshield shall be clean and dry; b) There shall be no metallic materials in the front windshield at the installation position, and there shall be no films on the surface; c) When the installation ambient temperature is lower than 10°C, the electronic identification of motor vehicles and the front windshield shall be preheated before pasting. 4.4 Installation steps The steps for installing the electronic identification of motor vehicles are as follows. a) For the front windshield with the film at the installation position, REMOVE the film at the installation position; b) USE a detergent that meets the requirements of QB/T 4086 to clean the installation position on the front windshield, so as to ensure that the paste position is clean and dry; c) CHECK the electronic identification of motor vehicles and the registration information of the vehicle to be loaded; d) REMOVE the double-sided adhesive protection paper of the electronic identification of motor vehicles; PASTE the electronic identification of motor vehicles to the designated installation position on the front windshield; e) After pasting, READ and TEST the electronic identification of motor ......Source: Above contents are excerpted from the full-copy PDF -- translated/reviewed by: www.ChineseStandard.net / Wayne Zheng et al.
