1 Scope

This standard specifies the general method for the determination of nitrate by indigo carmine sodium (indigo carmine) colorimetry and brucine colorimetry. This standard applies to the determination of trace nitrates in chemical reagents. Indigo disulphonate (indigo carmine) spectrophotometry or visual colorimetric France detection range of 0.2μg/mL ~ 4μg/mL (NO3 dollars); brucine colorimetric detection range of 0.3μg/mL ~ 6.5μg/mL (calculated as NO3).
