1 Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the printing speed of inkjet printers. This standard applies to the speed test of A3, A4 format inkjet printers and inkjet MFPs (hereinafter referred to as printers).

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 First set of printing time firstsetouttime; FSOT The time required to complete the output from the time the print order is issued until the first set of prints (standard test sample). Note 1. The unit is seconds (s). Note 2. The first set of printing time is equivalent to the FSOT of ISO /IEC 24734.2014. 3.2 Multi-page print speed multi-pagesprintingspeed The printer prints the number of standard test versions of different file formats per minute. Note 1. The unit is page per minute (ppm). Note 2. Multi-page printing speed is equivalent to ISO /IEC 24734.2014 ESAT. 3.3 Home print time firstprintouttime The time required to complete the output from the time the print order is issued to the first page print (standard test sample). 4 test conditions

4.1 Environmental conditions The test shall be carried out under the test environment conditions recommended by the printer manufacturer and, if not specified, in accordance with the following environmental conditions. --- Temperature. 18 ° C ~ 25 ° C; ---Relative humidity. 30%~70%; --- Atmospheric pressure. 86kPa~106kPa. 4.2 Beta 4.2.1 A4 format office test version specified in Appendix A, including 4 pages of document files, 4 pages of spreadsheet files and 4 pages of layout One file each for testing multiple page print speeds and first set print time. 4.2.2 The test version specified in Appendix B is used for the test of continuous printing speed and first page printing time of monochrome printers. Note. Appendix B is equivalent to Test B of Appendix B of GB/T 16685-2008. 4.2.3 The test version specified in Appendix C is used for the test of the continuous printing speed of the color printer and the printing time of the first page. Note. The contents of Appendix C are the same as Appendix B. The color of the characters from beginning to end is C, M, Y, K. 4.2.4 The N2 or N5 test version specified in GB/T 18721-2002 is used for the test of photo printing time. 4.3 Printer Settings 4.3.1 Follow the printer's instruction manual to install and set up the printer. The printer and computer are connected in direct connection. 4.3.2 For color printers, color mode should be selected for testing, and black and white mode testing can be selected according to user requirements. When choosing black In white mode, the print driver is set to black and white monochrome print mode. The print color should be stated when the nominal test data is used. Note. The monochrome monochrome print mode can be expressed in the print driver as “black and white print”, “grayscale print” and “print only black”. 4.3.3 When testing “Continuous Print Speed” and “Photo Print Time”, you should select the print quality of the default mode, and the print quality of other modes. 5 test methods

5.1 Preparation before testing 5.1.1 The test printer and paper should be placed in the test environment for at least 2 hours. 5.1.2 Install and set up the printer in accordance with the requirements of 4.3.1.
