1 Scope

This Part of GB/T 34657 specifies the inspection rules, test conditions, test items, test methods and conformance assessment for the interoperability test of electric vehicle conductive charging.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 18384.2-2015, GB/T 18487.1-2015, GB/T 19596 and GB/T 20234.1-2015 as well as the following ones are applicable to this document. 3.1 Charging interoperability The ability of the same or different models and versions of power supply equipment and electric vehicles to realize charging interconnection through information exchange and process control.

4 Inspection rules

4.1 The vehicles shall meet the test items corresponding to the test objects in Annex A. 4.2 The sequence for the interoperability test of electric vehicle conductive charging is as follows. The schematic diagram is illustrated in Figure 1.

5 Test conditions

5.1 Environmental conditions The test environmental conditions shall meet the following requirements. 5.2 Power conditions The power supply conditions during the test are as follows. 5.3 Instrumentation requirements Unless otherwise specified, the accuracy of the instrumentation used in the test shall meet the following requirements. 5.4 Vehicle requirements 5.4.1 The DC conductive charging communication protocol of the vehicles shall comply with GB/T 27930-2015. 5.4.2 For the test items requiring charging power, prior to test, the state of charge of the vehicle’s power storage battery shall be at a relatively low level. DISCHARGE the power storage battery according to the method specified by the vehicle manufacturer. If the vehicle manufacturer does not provide a specific discharge plan, the discharge operation can be carried out by the vehicle driving (on a road or on a gantry). The reference discharge termination conditions are as follows. 5.5 Other requirements AC charging connection devices used for testing vehicles shall meet GB/T 20234.2-2015.DC charging connection devices shall meet GB/T 20234.3-2015.

6 Test items

6.1 Socket space size check Test purpose. CHECK the normal operating space of the vehicle socket. Test method. USE a standard plug that conforms to the maximum external dimensions specified in Annex C of GB/T 20234.2-2015 and / or Annex C of GB/T 20234.3-2015 for plugging and unplugging operations. Conformance assessment. The vehicle socket and the vehicle plug shall be able to connect properly without producing interference. 6.2 Interoperability test of DC charging 6.2.1 Test system The circuit and control principle of the interoperability test system of electric vehicle DC charging shall comply with Annex B of GB/T 18487.1-2015.The communication protocol shall comply with GB/T 27930-2015.The low-voltage auxiliary power supply circuit voltage is 12.0V ± 0.6V. The current is 10A. In addition, PE and A- shall be electrically isolated. The test system simulates off- board charger to test the charge control process, connection control timing, and abnormal charge status response of electric vehicles. The test system’s structure is illustrated in Figure 2. 6.2.2 Charge control process test 6.2.2.1 Vehicle charging and driving interlock test Test purpose. DETERMINE the non-driving state of the vehicle after the vehicle plug is engaged with the vehicle socket. Test method and procedures. 6.2.2.2 Connection validation test Test purpose. DETERMINE whether the vehicle interface is able to be fully connected. 6.2.2.3 Self-test phase test Test purpose. CHECK whether the correct charging process can be entered after the vehicle is fully connected. 6.2.2.4 Charge ready test Test purpose. CHECK the charge ready state of the vehicle. 6.2.2.5 Charging stage test Test purpose. CHECK the communication state of the vehicle in the charging initiation stage and charging process. 6.2.2.6 Normal charging termination test Test purpose. CHECK the vehicle’s response under normal charging 6.2.3 Charging connection control timing test Test purpose. CHECK whether the vehicle’s charging connection control timing is normal. 6.2.4 Charging abnormal state test 6.2.4.1 Insulation fault test Test purpose. CHECK the vehicle’s insulation fault monitoring function. Test method and procedures. 6.2.4.2 Communication interruption test Test purpose. CHECK the vehicle’s response when the communication is interrupted. 6.2.4.3 PE needle breakage test Test purpose. When the vehicle’s pull-up voltage U2 is greater than 15.2V and less than 31V, with an accuracy of not greater than 1%, or when U2 is greater than 22V and less than 30V, with an accuracy of not greater than 5%, CHECK the vehicle’s response during PE needle breakage. Test method and procedures. 6.2.5 Test of control pilot voltage boundary value 6.2.5.1 Test of boundary voltage value at test point 2 Test purpose. CHECK whether the vehicle is charging normally in case of the boundary voltage value at test point 2. 6.2.5.2 Test of auxiliary power supply boundary voltage value Test purpose. CHECK whether the vehicle is charging normally in case of the auxiliary power supply boundary voltage value. 6.3 Interoperability test of AC charging 6.3.1 Test system The circuit and control principle of the interoperability test system of electric vehicle AC charging shall comply with Annex A of GB/T 18487.1-2015.The test system simulates an AC charging pile to test the charging control process, connection control timing, and abnormal charging state response of the electric vehicles. The test system’s structure is illustrated in Figure 3. The interoperability test system of electric vehicle AC charging shall be able to test the following contents. 6.3.2 Charge control process test 6.3.2.1 Vehicle charging and driving interlock test Test purpose. DETERMINE the non-driving state of the vehicle after the vehicle plug is engaged with the vehicle socket. Test method and procedures. 6.3.2.2 Connection validation test Test purpose. DETERMINE whether the vehicle interface is able to be fully connected. 6.3.2.3 Charge ready test Test purpose. CHECK the charge ready state of the vehicle. Test method and procedures. After the vehicle interface is fully connected, the test system sends a PWM signal to check the test point 1’s voltage value and charging state. 6.3.2.4 Startup and charging stage test Test purpose. CHECK the charging control function of the vehicle. Test method and procedures. 6.3.2.5 Normal charging termination test Test purpose. CHECK the vehicle’s response under normal charging termination conditions. 6.3.3 Charging connection control timing test Test purpose. CHECK whether the vehicle’s charging connection control timing is normal. 6.3.4 Charging abnormal state test 6.3.4.1 Switch S3 disconnection test Test purpose. CHECK the vehicle’s response when the switch S3 is disconnected. Test method and procedures. In the normal charging process, SIMULATE to disconnect the switch S3 from close state. CHECK the vehicle’s charging state, and voltage value at test point 1. Conformance assessment. The vehicle shall reduce the charging current to the minimum (< 1A) within 1s. Then, DISCONNECT the switch S2 (if the vehicle is configured with S2). 6.3.4.2 CC disconnection test Test purpose. CHECK the vehicle’s response during CC disconnection. Test method and procedures. In the charge preparation stage and normal charging process, SIMULATE to disconnect the vehicle interface’s CC connection, respectively. CHECK the test point 1’s voltage value and charging state. 6.3.4.3 CP interrupt test Test purpose. CHECK the vehicle’s response during CP signal interrupt. Test method and procedures. In the normal charging process, SIMULATE to disconnect the CP signal. CHECK the test point 1’s voltage value and charging state. 6.3.5 Charge control output test 6.3.5.1 PWM duty ratio variation test Test purpose. CHECK the vehicle’s response during PWM duty ratio variation. Test method and procedures. 6.3.5.2 PWM duty ratio over-limit test Test purpose. CHECK the vehicle’s response during PWM duty ratio over-limit. 6.3.5.3 PWM frequency boundary value test Test purpose. CHECK whether the vehicle is charging normally at the PWM frequency boundary value. 6.3.6 Control loop test 6.3.6.1 CP loop boundary voltage value test Test purpose. CHECK whether the vehicle is charging normally at the CP loop boundary voltage value. 6.3.6.2 CP loop boundary resistance value test Test purpose.
