1 Scope

This standard specifies the determination of blast furnace and direct reduction of iron ore with two kinds of determination of bulk density. Method 1 applies to the maximum size of 40mm below the iron ore. Method 2 is suitable for natural and processed iron ore of any particle size. Note that the bulk density measured here does not necessarily represent the actual bulk density of the iron ore in the tight or stocked state.
