This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. 1 Scope

This document describes the general requirements, safety requirements, test procedures, and procedures for testing fixed foam fire-fighting systems for ships (hereinafter referred to as “foam fire-fighting systems”). 3 Terms and Definitions

4 General Requirements

4.1 The foam fire extinguishing system should consist of a foam fire extinguishing device (pressure foam tank or foam liquid storage tank, foam liquid pump, foam proportioning mixer, balancing valve, Safety valve, foam distribution system pipeline and its pipeline valve parts), electric or manual release valve, foam nozzle, foam spray, foam generator, foam The foam gun consists of a cannon, a foam gun hose reel device, and electrical control equipment. 4.2 If any abnormality occurs in the control valve, water source, foam liquid pump, valve or control equipment, or foam spraying equipment during the test, the test should be stopped. After finding the cause of the abnormality of these components, repairing or replacing the components, restart the test. 4.3 If the mechanical joints of the piping system can be repaired on site during the test, the test should not be stopped. 4.4 If a test fails, the cause of the failure should be identified and repaired before restarting the test.
