1 Scope

This part of GB/T 31057 specifies the terms, definitions and test methods for the tap density test of granular materials. This section applies to the tap density measurement of powder materials with an average particle size of 5μm~5mm.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Tap density density The mass per unit volume measured after the powder has been vibrated under specified conditions. 3.2 Fixed mass method fixedmassmethod Weigh a certain amount of powder, measure its volume after tapping, and calculate the tap density. 3.3 Fixed volume method fixedvolumemethod After the powder is shaken, a certain volume is taken, the mass is weighed, and the tap density is obtained by calculation.

4 Principle

The quantitative powder is placed in a container, and after vibrating under predetermined conditions, the powder mass and volume are measured, and the tap density of the powder is calculated.
