Foreword

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 245-2008 "metal pipe crimping test method", compared with GB/T 245-2008, the main technical changes as follows. - modified the expression of "scope" (see chapter 1); --- Change the title of Chapter 3 to "Test Principle" (see Chapter 3); - the test procedure is specified in more detail (see 6.3); - delete the curl rate calculation formula (see 6.7,.2008 edition of 6.7 note). This standard has made the following editorial changes. - correct the international standard error, change the symbol "b" in Table 1 to "β"; Figure 1 adds the title. 1 Scope

This standard specifies the crimping test method for determining the plastic deformation capacity of circular cross-section metal pipes.
