This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 24477-2009 "Additional requirements for elevators for people with disabilities" and is consistent with GB/T 24477-2009. 1 Scope

This document specifies the minimum requirements for the safe and independent access to and use of lifts by persons, including persons with disabilities. This document is intended to meet the needs of persons with the types of disabilities mentioned in Appendix A. NOTE Guidance on improving accessibility and usability is provided in Appendix B.
