This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"

This document replaces GB/T 22284-2008 "Great Yorkshire Pig Breeders". Compared with GB/T 22284-2008, except for the structural adjustment and compilation
In addition to logical changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The terms and definitions in “Terms and Definitions” have been deleted (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition);
b) Added the content of “Origin and Characteristics” (see Chapter 4);

1 Scope
This document specifies the origin and characteristics of Large White pig breeders, their body shape and appearance, adult weight and size, production performance, and basic requirements for breeding.
The determination method is described.

4 Origin and characteristics
Large White Pig, also known as Yorkshire Pig, originated in Yorkshire, England and the surrounding areas in northern England. It is now widely distributed in the world.
It has the characteristics of high fertility, fast growth rate and strong adaptability.
5.Body shape and appearance
The Large White Pig has white fur all over its body, with occasional dark spots. It has a rectangular body shape and a large build. It has a medium-sized head, a straight or slightly concave nose,
The ears are erect, the back and waist are straight, the limbs and hooves are strong, the front scapula is wide, the back is broad, and the hindquarters are full. See Appendix A for photos of Large White pig breeders.
6 Adult weight and size
Adult boars (23-25 months old) weigh no less than 277.0 kg, are no less than 157.0 cm long, no less than 90.0 cm tall, and have a chest of no less than 100 kg.
The circumference of an adult sow (third litter, two months of gestation) shall not be less than 152.0cm; the weight of an adult sow (third litter, two months of gestation) shall not be less than 215.0kg, the length of the sow shall not be less than 145.0cm, and the height of the sow shall not be less than 152.0cm.
Less than 77.0cm, chest circumference not less than 135.0cm.

7.1 Reproductive performance
