1 Scope

This section is about Paints, varnishes and related products, one of sampling and testing series. This section provides a method for powder coating equivalent spherical particle size distribution was determined by laser diffraction method. This section applies to a particle size range 1μm ~ 300μm between the powder coating. This method is only applicable to the determination of the dry powder. Note. Most of the instrument can distinguish the particle size distribution beyond the limits of the particles.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this section. 3.1 Since the extinction of the powder coating particles (scattering and/or absorption) cause of the incident light attenuation percentage or a fraction. NOTE. All of the definitions given in 19077.1-2008 GB/T . Principle 4 Powder coating a representative sample, a suitable concentration of the dispersion in the gas stream, through a monochromatic laser beam source. The use of multiple detectors Measuring the intensity of light scattering particles in various angles and record the corresponding value of the signal scatter plot, for subsequent analysis. Then with a suitable light Learning model and mathematical procedures to convert these scattering signal values \u200b\u200bto obtain the equivalent volume ratio of the sample to partition between different levels of granularity represented Sphere volume particle size distribution.
