GB/T 20186 "Secondary Coating Materials for Optical Fiber" has released the following parts. ---Part 1.Polybutylene terephthalate; ---Part 2.Modified polypropylene. This part is Part 2 of GB/T 20186. This part was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This part replaces GB/T 20186.2-2008 "Secondary Coating Materials for Optical Fiber Part 2.Modified Polypropylene", and Compared with GB/T 20186.2-2008, the main technical changes except for editorial changes are as follows. --- Deleted the size requirements of the product diameter (see 3.1 in the.2008 edition); ---Modified the index requirements for melt index, bending strength, impact strength of cantilever beam, load deformation temperature, and inspection of linear expansion coefficient Scope of testing requirements (see Table 1, Table 1 of the.2008 edition); ---Increase the index requirements and test methods for oxidation induction time at.200°C (see Table 1, 4.11); --- Added environmental performance requirements and test methods (see 3.3, 4.18); ---The requirements for standard samples have been added (see Table 3); ---Modified the test method of water content (see 4.6,.2008 edition 4.6); ---Added requirements for sample preparation in bending performance test and load deformation temperature test (see 4.9, 4.16); ---Modified the melting point test method (see 4.10,.2008 edition 4.10); ---Modified the requirements of sample preparation in the cantilever beam impact test (see Table 3, 4.13,.2008 edition 4.12); ---Modified the inspection rules (see Chapter 5); --- Modified marking, packaging, transportation and storage (see Chapter 6, Chapter 6 of the.2008 edition); --- Deleted the technical requirements and test methods of MPP loose casing (see Appendix A of the.2008 edition); ---Added Appendix A (Test Method for Water Content of Secondary Coating Materials) (see Appendix A); ---Appendix B (test method for compatibility of secondary coating material and filling compound) has been added (see Appendix B). 1 Scope
