Section 1-324. Mechanical Test Methods
Cable abrasion resistance test
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 17737 applies to coaxial communication cables. It specifies test methods for determining the wear resistance of coaxial communication cables.
2 Normative references
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this article
Pieces. For undated references, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to this document.

bles-Part 1.Generic specification-General,definitionsandrequirements)
3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined by IEC 61196-1 apply to this document.
4 Cable abrasion resistance test
4.1 Principle
The purpose of this test was to evaluate the ability of the cable sheath to resist wear by scraping the jacket surface.
4.2 Test device
Scratch test device should meet the requirements detailed in Figure 1. It should include a device designed to scrape the surface of the sheath. The device can be
Move in both directions along the longitudinal axis of the cable. The distance to move should not be less than 10mm. The cycle frequency is 50 times/min to 60 times/min. One cycle
The ring is defined as the blade begins to move back to the starting position.
The test device shall be equipped with a counter to record the number of cycles until failure and shall be controlled so that the blade wears through the sheath and the outermost layer
The device stops when the conductor or shield contacts.
The blade should be made of hard tungsten carbide. The dimensions are shown in Figure 1. The weight applied to the blade should comply with the relevant cable specification.
