1 Scope

This standard specifies the coding principles, code structure and codes for the codes of ports and related locations in the People's Republic of China. This standard does not include the port and related location codes of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macau Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province of my country. This standard applies to data exchange and information processing involved in international trade activities. Note. The port and related location codes of the People's Republic of China provided in this standard are components of the United Nations Port and Related Location Code System (UN/LOCODE) part.
