This Standard is applicable to pipe fittings specified in GB/T 12459.Other pipe fittings may refer to this Standard for use.2 Normative referencesThe following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. GB 150.4-2011, Pressure Vessels - Part 4.Fabrication, inspection and testing, and acceptance GB/T 222, Method of sampling steel for determination of chemical composition and permissible variations for product analysis GB/T 223 (all parts), Iron, steel and alloy - Chemical analysis methods GB/T 228.1, Metallic materials - Tensile testing - Part 1.Method of test at room temperature GB/T 229, Metallic Materials - Charpy Pendulum Impact Test Method GB/T 2975, Steel and Steel Products - Location and Preparation of Test Pieces for Mechanical Testing GB/T 4334, Corrosion of metals and alloys - Test methods for intergranular corrosion of stainless steels3 Order contentThe purchaser shall provide the following information required for the purchase of pipe fittings in the order.4 Materials4.1 The raw materials for manufacturing pipe fittings include seamless pipes, straight seam electrofusion welded pipes, plates, bars and forgings. The chemical composition shall meet the requirements of Table 1. 4.2 The contents represented by pipe fitting material level codes are as follows. 4.3 See Annex B for the commonly used raw materials for manufacturing pipe fittings. Although this Standard does not restrict the use of raw materials other than Annex B, the raw materials used shall meet the requirements of GB/T 20801.2 or relevant specifications. 4.4 For welded pipe fittings made of plate metal, the welding materials used are selected according to NB/T 47015 or related specifications. For stainless steel welded pipe fittings, the weld metal shall be subjected to chemical composition analysis according to the batch number of the welding material.5 Manufacturing5.1 Pipe fittings can be formed by one or a combination of methods such as extrusion, pushing, molding, drawing, forging, welding or cutting. 5.2 Hollow round pipe fittings less than or equal to DN100 can be directly machined from bars. The axial direction shall be roughly parallel to the metal fiber direction of the material. But elbows, tees and crosses shall not be directly cut and formed from bars. 5.3 The welded pipe fittings manufactured by the pipe fitting manufacturer shall meet the following conditions. 5.4 The number and arrangement of welds for welded pipe fittings are as follows. 5.5 In addition to the provisions of 5.6, when a pipe fitting needs to be made of two or more plates, it shall use plates with the same furnace number.6 Heat treatment6.1 In addition to the provisions of 6.3, 6.5 and 6.6, all pipe fittings that have been cold-formed, hot-formed or welded shall be heat treated according to the material, wall thickness and other factors. 6.3 When the following conditions are met, heat treatment is not necessary. 6.4 For carbon steel welded pipe fittings with a nominal wall thickness greater than 19mm and welded after thermoforming (excluding carbon steel pipe fittings in low-temperature steel), if the requirements of 6.3a) are met, it can adopt post- weld stress relief heat treatment. 6.5 For carbon steel welded pipe fittings with a nominal wall thickness less than or equal to 19mm and welded after thermoforming (excluding carbon steel pipe fittings in low-temperature steel), if the requirements of 6.3a) are met, after negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser, it may not conduct thermoforming. 6.6 For austenitic stainless steel pipe fittings, after negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser, thermoforming is not required. However, the suffix letters -NH shall be added after the delivery document and the material level of pipe fittings marked by physical object, such as SF304-NH.7 Inspection and testing7.1 Mechanical properties 7.1.1 Sample of mechanical properties 7.1.1.1 The sample shall be prepared from the pipe that has been heat treated (or is formed without heat treatment). 7.1.2 Tensile test 7.1.2.1 Each batch of pipe fittings shall be subjected to tensile test. The test method is in accordance with GB/T 228.1.The results of the tensile test shall meet the requirements of Table 3. 7.1.2.2 When the pipe fitting is a welded structure, another tensile test shall be carried out on the welded joints (not including the stub end made in 5.6). The tensile strength of the welded joint shall not be less than the minimum value of the tensile strength specified by the corresponding material level. 7.1.3 Impact test 7.1.3.1 For low temperature steel pipe fittings and carbon steel pipe fittings with material levels of CF415K and CF485K, each batch shall be subjected to impact test. The test methods are in accordance with GB/T 229.The test temperature and shock absorption energy shall meet the requirements of Table 3. 7.1.4 Hardness test 7.1.5 Reheat treatment When the mechanical performance test or reinspection fails, it is allowed to conduct reheat treatment to this batch of pipe fittings before test. But the number of reheat treatment shall not exceed twice. 7.2 Shape, size and appearance 7.2.1 The pipe fittings shall have the correct appearance. The shape shall be symmetrical. All arcs shall transit smoothly. There shall be no plane in any part of the arc. 7.3 Non-destructive testing 7.3.1 Tees, crosses, press-formed reducers of all materials and pipe caps that are directly cut and formed by bar materials shall be subjected to non- destructive testing piece by piece. 7.3.2 Except for the varieties mentioned in 7.3.1, other pipe fittings of alloy steel category (including pipe fittings of material level LF450K3 and LF680K4 in the low temperature steel category) shall be subjected to magnetic particle inspection piece by piece according to NB/T 47013.4 or relevant specifications. Level I is conforming.8 Welding repair8.1 When the surface defect of base material of pipe fittings does not exceed the following requirements, it can be repaired by welding. 8.2 Before welding repair, defects shall be removed by cutting, shoveling or grinding. According to the material, carry out magnetic particle testing or penetration testing on the removed part, so as to ensure complete removal of defects. 8.3 During welding repair, welding consumables that match the base metal shall be selected. 8.4 After welding repair, the repaired surface shall be trimmed by cutting or grinding. The trimmed part shall be smoothly transitioned to the pipe fitting surface. 8.5 Alloy steel, low-temperature steel and stainless steel pipe fittings shall be subjected to corresponding heat treatment after welding repair.9 Surface protection and packaging9.1 Unless otherwise specified, for pipe fittings of carbon steel, alloy steel and low temperature steel, anti-rust paint shall be applied to the outer surface (excluding welding groove). Stainless steel pipe fittings shall be pickled and passivated. 9.3 Welding grooves shall be protected by suitable methods to prevent knocks. 9.4 Pipe fittings shall be packed separately according to different material levels. Take moisture-proof measures. Packing list shall be enclosed in the packing box. ......Source: Above contents are excerpted from the full-copy PDF -- translated/reviewed by: www.ChineseStandard.net / Wayne Zheng et al.
