Summary: This standard applies to AC air circuit breakers with AC 50Hz, 60Hz or 50/60Hz, rated voltage not exceeding 440V (phase to phase), rated current not exceeding 125A, and rated short-circuit capacity not exceeding 25000A. This standard is as consistent as possible with the technical requirements in GB/T 14048.2-2008. These circuit breakers are used to protect building wiring facilities from overcurrent and similar purposes; they are designed for use by untrained personnel and require no maintenance. The circuit breaker of this standard is expected to be used in a pollution degree 2 environment. The circuit breaker of this standard is suitable for isolation. Except for circuit breakers with rated voltages of 120 V or 120/240 V (see Table 1), the circuit breakers of this standard are suitable for use in IT systems.

GB/T 10963 "Overcurrent protective circuit breakers for electrical accessories household and similar places" is divided into the following three parts: ---Part 1: Circuit breakers used for AC; ---Part 2: Circuit breakers for AC and DC; ---Part 3: Circuit breakers for DC: This part is Part 1 of GB/T 10963: This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1:1-2009: This part replaces GB/T 10963:1-2005 "Electrical accessories for household and similar places with overcurrent protective circuit breakers-Part 1: Compared with GB/T 10963:1-2005, the main technical changes are as follows: ---Added 5:2:5 Single-pole rated making and breaking capacity (Icn1) rated value requirements (see 5:2:5);
