Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for commercial refrigerating appliances – Part 2.Commercial refrigerated cabinets with self-contained condensing unit

1 Scope

This Part of the GB 26920 specifies the minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, energy efficiency grades, evaluation values of energy conservation, test methods, inspection rules, and energy efficiency grade labeling of commercial refrigerated cabinets with self-contained condensing unit (hereinafter referred to as “self-contained commercial refrigerated cabinets”). This Part applies to the following commercial refrigerated cabinets. — Self-contained commercial refrigerated cabinets for food sales and exhibitions; — Closed self-contained beverage refrigerated display cabinets used in stores, hotels and restaurants; — Commercial refrigerated cabinets with solid doors (such as kitchen refrigerators, refrigerated storage cabinets, and refrigerated working tables), and self-contained commercial refrigerated cabinets for non-retail uses.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in the GB/T 21001.1, GB/T 21001.2-2015, GB/T 21001.3, SB/T 10794.1-2012, SB/T 10794.2-2012, and SB/T 10794.3- 2012 as well as the following ones apply to this document. 3.1 Maximum allowable values of energy consumption of self-contained commercial refrigerated cabinets 3.2 The base value of energy consumption Ebase It refers to the energy consumption of the commercial refrigerated cabinet with single room and classified as some basic cabinet structure after 24-hour operation under specified working conditions, in unit of kilowatt-hour per 24 hours (kWh/24h). 3.3 Actual energy efficiency index It refers to the ratio OF the measured value of energy consumption (total energy consumption, TEC) TO the maximum allowable value of energy consumption (TECmax) of the self-contained commercial refrigerated cabinet. 3.5 The independent room It refers to the refrigeration room using thermal insulation materials for isolation in the refrigerated cabinet.

4 Technical requirements

4.1 Calculation of maximum allowable values of energy consumption CALCULATE the maximum allowable values of energy consumption according to the Formula (1). 4.2 Maximum allowable values of energy consumption of self-contained commercial refrigerated cabinets The energy consumption of different types of self-contained commercial refrigerated cabinets shall not be greater than the maximum allowable value of energy consumption of the corresponding type of products.

5 Test methods

5.1 General Besides the requirements specified in the Sections 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4 of this Part and the test methods for self-contained commercial refrigerated cabinets, CONDUCT tests to the self-contained commercial refrigerated cabinets for sales and exhibitions according to the provisions specified in the GB/T 21001.2- 2015; CONDUCT tests to the refrigerated cabinets with solid doors and the self- contained commercial refrigerated cabinets for non-retail uses according to the provisions specified in the SB/T 10794.2-2012; CONDUCT tests to the beverage refrigerated display cabinets according to the provisions specified in the SB/T 10794.3-2012. 5.2 Self-contained refrigerated display cabinets CONDUCT the energy consumption test under the conditions of meeting the test conditions and climate types specified in the GB/T 21001.1 and GB/T 21001.2-2015.USE lighting devices and anti-condensation heaters during the test, unless this kind of devices are controlled by clocks, smart sensors, or similar automatic defrosting devices. When the display cabinets are equipped with night covers/night curtains and lighting devices, CONDUCT the test according to the requirements for the display cabinets with night covers/night curtains and lighting devices specified in the Step 2 of the Section 5.3.2.7 of the GB/T 21001.2-2015. 5.4 Commercial refrigerated cabinets with solid doors CONDUCT the energy consumption test according to the test conditions and the conditions of the climate type 4 specified in the SB/T 10794.2-2012.Besides using the interpolation method to conduct the energy consumption test, it is also allowed to conduct the test that meets the (more severe) conditions of test packet temperature, and whose characteristic temperature error is less than or equal to 0.5°C.

6 Inspection rules

6.1 Exit-factory inspection 6.1.1 The maximum allowable values of energy consumption shall be considered as the exit-factory inspection item of commercial refrigerated cabinets. 6.1.2 The non-conforming products identified after the inspection are not allowed to leave the factory. 6.2 Type inspection 6.2.1 The commercial refrigerated cabinets shall be conducted with the type inspection under one of the following circumstances. 6.2.2 TAKE one sample each time for the sampling of type inspection. If the energy consumption fails to conform to the requirements for the maximum allowable values of energy consumption specified in this Part, DOUBLE the number of samples taken from this batch of products for re-inspection. If there is still one sample fails to conform to the requirements, this batch of products will be identified as non-conforming products. 6.3 Inspection report SEE Appendix A for the information needed for the exit-factory inspection and type inspection reports. 6.4 Acceptance The ordering party shall have the right to check whether the energy consumption and energy efficiency grades of the products conform to the requirements specified in this Part.

7 Energy efficiency grade labeling

7.1 The manufacturers shall test the energy consumption coefficient of their products according to the requirements specified in this Part. 7.2 The manufacturers shall determine the rated energy efficiency grades of the products according to the test results.

Appendix A

(Informative) Inspection report information A.1 General This Appendix lists the information that shall be included in the inspection report after accomplishing the inspection according to the GB/T 21001.2-2015 and GB/T 21001.3 or SB/T 10794.1-2012, SB/T 10794.2-2012 and SB/T 10794.3- 2012.The test conducted to each sample shall have separate inspection result.
